Zach Nelson is the head coach of the

Zach Nelson is a Developmental Basketball Coaching Intern and, along with that, the head coach of the Â鶹¹ÙÍø Regional Basketball Team.

Zach has a resounding passion for the game of basketball and wishes to share that passion with those that surround him. Zach prepped at Cottonwood High School, where he was a varsity captain. Though his playing career ended, Zach continued to pursue opportunities to be around basketball. He worked for the BYU Women’s Basketball program as a scout player for two years. He then coached at Mountain View High School for 2 years, serving as a varsity assistant and sophomore head coach. He was the JV head coach at Orem High School before he arrived at Â鶹¹ÙÍø.

Zach credits his mentors for teaching him excellent basketball philosophies and skills that he hopes to pass along, and he looks forward to learning from the first-rate staff at Â鶹¹ÙÍø. When Zach isn’t in the gym you can find him outdoors, listening to music, or watching his favorite sports teams.
