Experienced riders and curious newcomers alike will find the perfect degree of training and guidance tailored to their interests and needs in the Â鶹¹ÙÍø equestrian program. In addition to state-of-the-art training facilities, Â鶹¹ÙÍø has exceptional coaches to help riders develop their English or Western skills under the instruction of current and former rodeo and English competitive champions.

Â鶹¹ÙÍø also has the space and equipment to host its own shows, competitions and clinics by visiting experts.
English Riding Program
The Â鶹¹ÙÍø English Riding Program encompasses a number of disciplines, with an emphasis on eventing, hunter/jumpers, and dressage. Students find themselves surrounded by adults at the barn who mentor and guide them, including passionate coaches and a director who have been riding competitively their entire lives.
The program can accommodate the beginning rider through the serious upper-level competitor. It is designed to filter riders through the beginning level as they start riding and help them progress via goal setting and extensive training.
There are a wide variety of school-owned horses for every student level and style. Students may bring and board their own horse and travel with the eventing, hunter/jumper or dressage coach.
Eventing and competitions
Â鶹¹ÙÍø is proud to be the only high school in America that can boast a nationally recognized eventing course onsite, set by world-class designer James Atkinson of Revisionist Equestrian. The onsite cross country course runs from Introductory to Preliminary (2'-3'7) and features elements such as a water complex, banks and coffin complexes.
There are a number of local hunter/jumper competitions in the fall and spring for English riders. For the more serious competitor, the USEF-rated Â鶹¹ÙÍø Horse Show series offers a wide selection of events, from cross rails to an international Hunter Derby to the 1.20 jumpers.
Rodeo Team
Â鶹¹ÙÍø offers year-round practice for the students’ chosen rodeo events, a heated indoor and two outdoor practice arenas and one-on-one coaching from accomplished rodeo instructors.
Â鶹¹ÙÍø is a member of the Utah High School Rodeo Association and competes in more than 25 rodeos each year including UHSRA events and weekend jackpot events. Qualifying athletes can compete in the High School Rodeo Nationals.
The instructors take rodeo seriously, with the intention of preparing students to be fully fledged rodeo athletes and champions in high school competitions across the United States. Student athletes can easily access campus facilities, and there is a weekly schedule that allows them to regularly practice barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying and reining cow horse. There are also separate practices scheduled each week for cattle events: team roping, calf roping, breakaway roping, steer wrestling and cow cutting.
